1980 AMC Eagle Limited Wagon

The sedan is better, in my opinion. The proportions look nicer, and it's more practical.

I have a 1980 AMC Eagle Limited wagon, one of 25,807 station wagons for 1980. It has the original paint, Medium Brown Metallic and Dark Brown two-tone. It has a really nice beige interior, the only interior color available in 1980, with a brown dashboard, brown 18oz pile carpet, and beige Celsea leather seats (all original).

It does need lots of work, mostly for the engine and some electrical gremlins, but it will hopefully become my dai

• AMC 258 cubic-inch (4.2 liter) I6, the original engine
• Original (rebuilt) Carter BBD 2-barrel carburetor
• One-year-only full-time ("Automatic") 4WD, but may put in a different transfer case and stuff for switchable 2WD/4WD/low-range 4WD
• ~105 horsepower (stock was 110-some, but head gasket is basically blown)
• Burns oil like there's no tomorrow
• Tires are in really bad shape
