How it works

The Car Community's head-to-head car vote, explained.

What is this?

This is the voting site for The Car Community Discord server. Members submit their own cars, and everyone votes on them head-to-head — two cars at a time, pick the one you like more. Votes feed an ELO rating system that ranks every car ever entered.

Voting

There are two pools. Ride of the Month is a fresh round each month: members enter cars during the submissions window, then voting runs to the end of the round and the top car is crowned — one winner per month, locked in for life on the Winners page. All-time never closes: every car ever entered battles for the all-time leaderboard.

Anyone can browse, but voting needs a Discord sign-in and membership in the server — that keeps the rankings a community opinion rather than a drive-by poll. Most votes count 1×; Premium members, Server Boosters, and Verified Vehicles count 2×.

The rankings

Every car carries an ELO rating — the same idea chess uses. Cars start at 1200. Win a matchup and you take points from the loser; beat a higher-rated car and you take more. Over many matchups the number settles toward how the community actually ranks the car, regardless of which opponents it happened to draw.

The ±N you see next to all-time ratings is the uncertainty: a car with few matchups has a noisy rating (big ±), and the value shrinks as votes accumulate. Cars with fewer than a handful of distinct voters are listed as provisional below the main table — their numbers say more about who happened to vote than about the car, so they're not treated as ranked yet.

Predictions & badges

While a round is young you can predict the winner — call it right and you earn the Crystal Ball badge. Voting daily builds streaks, and there's a full set of achievements on your profile for the dedicated.
