The paint on a 1996 Mystic Cobra was developed by BASF and Flex Technologies in order to work with the US Treasury and other country's treasuries to develop anti-counterfeit measures in currency. This was done for around 38 different countries.

The color you see in the paint is not a physical color. Any color seen is due to light refraction because the flake in the coating is a prism. There is literally NO COLOR in the paint physically except some black toner.
